Fringe Line Up in depth preview (Part 3)

Here we go with Part 3

8pm sees the return of last year's Sunday night headliners - TI AMO, a Queensbury based Power Pop/Punk Rock quartet. Let's be honest though, you've probably seen these guys before. They even played Christmas Day!

And finally for Saturday night we welcome back the newly christened Stand Alone. Formerly Aggravation, this trio plays something for everyone. What's a Saturday night at Delius without a good time covers band?

And that will be Day 3 of the Bradford Fringe and also Part 3 of my preview.

Until tomorrow!

Fringe Line Up in depth preview (part 2)

Hello there!

Picking up where we left off...

5pm marks the return of ONE STOP RAILWAY. These guys (and girl) are one of the best young bands West Yorkshire has to offer with an Indie Pop sound along the same lines as Bloc Party.

After that we welcome back our very good friend and local music legend ANGELO PALLADINO . If you haven't seen him before this is a must. Aggressive guitar and snarling vocals, Angelo is a musical tour de force!

And speaking of local music legends... How could we have a Fringe Fest without the mighty ANALOG BOMBS? Are they ska? Are they punk? Who cares!?! They're a hell of a lot of fun. Hopefully Ben won't fall off stage!

Today marks ONE WEEK TO GO UNTIL KICK OFF!
Can't wait!

See you soon, oh,  and happy Yorkshire day

Fringe Line Up in depth preview (Part 1)

Holla - it's probably about time I wrote something on here!

So the Fringe starts in exactly 10 days with my epic Rock N Roll band, Do Miss America opening things on the Thursday night, but James has already written about us so onwards and upwards!

FRIDAY NIGHT marks the return of the mighty BROKEN HEARTS CLUB BAND, but this time with a twist. The band will be playing 2 sets, with the second set bringing in a new era as the band makes a transition into a new form, DOWN RENO. This will be a very special night!

SATURDAY kicks off outside at 3pm with DAVE MCKINLEY - local acoustic folky-pop-rock singer songwriter. With 4 albums of material (not to mention the hundreds of unrecorded songs) there's definitely something for everyone. Dave also sports an incredible beard. Unfortunately he is an Arsenal fan, but you can't have everything in life!

Following Dave is CHRIS 'The Man in the Hat' MARTIN - obviously not to be mistaken with that muppet from Coldplay. With a mixture of classy old school blues and stand up (or maybe sit down?) comedy, Chris knows how to entertain a crowd.

More to come tomorrow.

Until then -

Cieran

What a cracking day of sport!

Right then, What a day of Sport, second Ashes Test, first day of the Open, England Women play their French counterparts later on this evening.

Most excitingly though, Stage 18 at The Tour de France! Climbing the Alp d'Huez twice in the last 50km of today's stage, Froomey going for the win. Pop down to the pub or turn on ITV4 to watch some unreal athletes and people pushing themselves to or even beyond their limits!

Really exciting news as well is that as of tomorrow, SKY SPORTS RETURNS! So come on down Friday night and watch our BULLS take on HULL FC from 8pm.

DELIUS PICKS

England in the cricket (28-3 atm though sigh)
Dustin Johnson / Sergio Garcia @ The Open
England Women 2 - 1
Bulls by 4 - 6 points.

Happy Sport

FRINGE FESTIVAL - Featured Band - DO MISS AMERICA

Right then should we start from the beginning, I reckon we should. This year's FRINGE FESTIVAL is opened by the Do Miss America boys, who as close as dammit constitute our very own house band. Our very own Cieran Miller fronts the five piece band from Bradford and come down on THURSDAY 8TH AUGUST to find Americana influenced Country and Blues along with some great covers of Paul Simon, Hall & Oates, Dire Straits, plus much more besides.

The brand new album has just been written, so along with some old favourites, expect exclusive playing of some new material.

The band has its own Facebook and Twitter pages; www.twitter.com/domissamerica

Heres a few links to whet your appetite;
